Ah : ) the willys. This thing is the coolest ever. I got it for 500 bucks. The last time it ran was in 1973 when the engine blew up. But it came with another engine off of a Millitary generator :) My whole life this CJ-2A was sitting right across the road from the field, at the farm, in a shed. :) i used to look at it when i was a kid, and think about how cool it was. never though i would have it. So anyway, Drew and I put the other engine in it, and over a few days i got it running. the beast was amazing :) Drew took it romping with adam the one day, and got it stuck in a big thing of water. the clutch was under water, and he left it there overnight. So for about 2 or 3 years now, the clutch is rusted together. right now the willys is taken part of the way apart, in the canopy, and hopefully soon this thing will be fixed. because its an amazing machine. I have a few more videos of this beast that i will be uploading. Including a night time, Illegal, (no insurance, Not registered, no plate, not inspected in over 30 years, no brakes, gas tank from a tractor under the hood laying on the distributor cap, clutch stuck together, and an almost dead battery) that was a fun night :) it was late though. there were no other cars on the road. using the synchronizers to shift :) ah, fun stuff. i almost killed us :)

  • Ahh, the Willys Jeep. Normally I would agree with 106MMTurbo and say dont scratch it, But its a Willy's, they are tanks and were built for going up creeks in the war. So grab another beer and have some fun :) You have any vids of the engine replacement? I know you have the one of unsticking the clutch.

  • @SuperKONR dude, where the Fuck have you been? :) havet heard from you in a long time. Nag, sorry man, should be footage, but there isn't. The clutch got stuck by drew, abandoning ut in a creek over night. Coward

  • @tommartyn I've been building a metal homemade tractor, and a crapload of schoolwork, and completely remodeling my shed, now called the "chop shop" by popular demand :) I saw in one early vid it was under a tree with an engine hanging from a branch. Drew always screws everything up lol

  • @SuperKONR

Nice man! :) hope you are getting footage of the home made tractor.

Yep :) thats where the engine swap went down, it took a while i think. there was a big gap of time from when i first took the engine out, till when lowered the new one in. I got disracted :)

  • my ranger could do that.... if i put it on top of a willy's

Yeah... i get what you're saying. But seriously. For the road, why not drive something thats made for it. Something that you can do over 45mph without hurting the engine, and can handle at all at those speeds.

Like my 65 dart gt :) That things awesome on the road.

The reason to have a CJ-2A, is just to do stuff like this. Its not a road vehicle. This is why they are awesome. It really would be a shame to not do this.

  • Were do you guys find all this cool stuff?

  • @ 0:02... is that a dildo above your shoulder?

  • @OHVTrails1

yeah, they're pretty damn identical. the engines are the same, the trans's are almost the same, the CJ is the T90, and i think the MB is a T85 (no syncros i think) The headlights look different, Stick out more on a CJ, kinda hidden for the MB's. MBs didn't have tailgates... Maybe :)

  • This Jeep looks enough like the old MB's that you can almost imagine some guys your age in a Jeep like this chasing the Germans through Europe in 1944 while watching your video.
