@edmangini don't get the varmint, get the normal SPS, also the tactical has a shorter heavy barrel, some people don't like that.

@mgd777 he was probably shooting at an elevation, into the air, or off a ledge maybe. At this distance the bullet would drop so fast it would be well buried under the ground before it had any chance to hit anyone. Bullets don't fly in a straight line forever. They pretty much start to drop instantly.

I'm not sure whether to get the tactical or the varmint, the varmint is 26" compared to the tactical being 20", both are cycled in .308. however the varmint is cheaper, comes with a scope and rails already and has 3 pegs on the bottom so you can put a sling and a bipod, where the tactical only has 2. what makes the tactical "better"/cost more ?
