  • served onboard the " 'ville" from 94-96. I rode her to Haiti in '94 then to the Adriatic in '95. She will be decomissioned on September 30 2009. Though some hated the ville, I enjoyed my time.

  • Thanks for your memories ,its sad to hear the ship will be decomissioned.Regards,Kenn

  • That looks like the USS Coronado that I was on. Nice shots.

  • I am pleased you enjoyed the video and saw your old ship.Best wishes.

  • was a marine in Cco 1/8 26 MEU 96-97 lived on Nashville for 6 months loved it and miss my Bros

  • @tuggman01

    Hey, it's J.K.

  • hate hearing that ships will be decommissioned, hate it even more when TV programs show how badly a hero is treated, how they turn beautiful ships into cans and tins, if they were turned into other ships it would be so much better

  • Together we kick terrorist ass!

  • Aft engine room. I spent a few months there after about a year in #1 between the med cruise right before and gitmo right after. I was laying on the deck in our berthing compartment watching t.v. when the Marine barracks in Lebanon was bombed and am still a "little" pissed.

  • I was on board from 6/83 to 12/84. I got to run the throttle in #1 (in training) toward the end. I wish I could remember the BT on blowers when we were underway. I remember him coming to the ladder grinning after we had gone through a throttle sequence. He was watching the stack, air/fuel mixture (mod-D type) while I was aggravating him with the throttles. They all were good and did there jobs. Propulsion was a tight group.

  • That's news.

  • Maybe you got my reply today?

  • whats up ward. this is (former)SK2 Williams.... we were on board together
