the argument of "when" a fetus becomes a person is pointless. until the umbilical chord is cut, the fetus is simply a parasite feeding off the mother. every woman should have the ability to decide the future of her life, and sometimes this means terminating a pregnancy if she is not ready to be a mother. and if fetuses could speak, they would no doubt support being born into a family that actually WANTED them.

your logic is so twisted. YOU belong in a "rehab" group where you can speak personally to women who have had abortions. i think your view would change significantly if you opened your mind to the concept of the QUALITY OF LIFE that all people deserve, but that some parents can't afford to give. also, if you're so anti-abortion, i'd like to see YOU adopt every single baby who is forced to be born against the mother's will.

Some choices are always wrong. It is not that pro-lifers are anti-choice. It is that they are anti-wrong-choice. The killing of an unborn child is always wrong. There are better ways.

People who do abortions should be put into a rehab center for 5 years, if they are not rehabilitated, brutally kill those people for committing such a heinous sin. Maybe some disemboweling or blood eagleing out in the middle of public would teach people a lesson not to murder innocent children.

Ok, thanks. I mean, so much of it really is not black and white. You've got me curious, as well, about the number of failed abortions - the numbers we see printed, as you've said, do not match the numbers we get at work, really. And again - these are not illegal abortions. So why so many failed? I'm gonna check into this as well when I get time. Thanks.

Naturally we need to find a point at which abortions should no longer be preformed. When is a baby really alive. I will not stand for any of this "Birth at Conception" stuff because, as I have pointed out a few times, we kill more cells just scratching our arm than there are at conception (and by that logic, scratching our arm should be illegal). I do not currently have an opinion on the time in pregnancy at which abortions should not be allowed, but I will be researching it.

There is a moral and ethical question here as well - a matter of being humane and a degradation of humanity when we see nothing wrong with dismembering alive a living human being. The partial birth abortion -have you ever seen one done? From what I've seen it is these that tend to cause the most damage,with parts of the fetus remaining inside the womb after being unsuccessfully dismembered so it may fit through the "birth" canal. There are no studies that I've seen that address these failures.

Also, think about gun control which the Republicans so strongly oppose. They say that if we make guns illegal criminals will get them on the black market while the rest of us don't have guns to defend ourselves with. It is almost exactly the same here. You can push it out of places where abortions are preformed by people who are medically trained and can step in if something goes wrong to self-preformed abortions and other dangerous methods.
