I was there in the thick of it. Many protestors were ring-ins and not local and were stirring things up and rallying others to disobey police orders. It's cool people have beliefs and opinions, no worries but when you are warned several times by police to move and you disobey, don't fucking whinge about the consequences.

You don't anyone is a suit and tie in the crowd. ( or even a collared shirt)

True -- all that means is that its not only the 1% who hate hippies -- any hard working person who has a job ( even if they arent in the 1%) hates stupid dole bludgers and hippies to are too lazy to work.

Most people who pay taxes hate hippies -- why should I pay taxes so stupid hippies can just sit on there ass and smoke weed

And to those clowns "enriching" this thread with such clever and useful remarks as "hippie morons" or "smoking them out": Most likely you have low to no education, are unemployed or stuck in a blue collar job. You are definitely NOT part of the 1% that makes all the money. So, YOU will be the first to benefit from this movement. Sadly, yet unsurprising you lack the capacity to recognise that. Be grateful that these people sacrifice their time and well being for a greater good - or just shut up!

To all ppl who ask "what's the deal with occupy", here's a personal example: Paypal had no problems (for 10+ y) TAKING money from my bank account. But PUTTING my money in requires you to fill out and fax(!) forms, wait until they are approved, etc. The process is unnecessarily difficult and non-transparent - the exact same account, only direction of flow is reversed. In the meantime Paypal collects your interest. So, why occupy?”:BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE SICK OF GETTING PUSHED AROUND BY CORPORATIONS!
