The "Butterflies in Space" experiment by BioServe Space Technologies at the University of Colorado. This experiment was made possible through the support of the National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI) and the Baylor College of Medicine (BCM). Larvae and technical assistance provided by Monarch Watch, Butterfly Pavilion, and Clearwater Butterfly.
This is NOT a still picture, trust me. Today these larvae did absolutely nothing. Its likely they are resting after eating for so long. Also, as I point out in the video several of their molts are present. This means they are growing properly and will probably pupate in the next few days. The droppings are starting to build up on the window a bit more. Soon the view will start to deteriorate as their droppings grow in size as they continue to gin bulk.
