Working in conjunction with an aftermarket radio and amplifier, or even with a factory heaudnit to line output converter and amp, the Bass Controller takes a designated radio sub or full-range stereo output from the radio and processes the low frequency bass notes. In turn, this enhances and restores the bass response, increases linearity, buffers unwanted transient noise and improves the frequency range for overall improved bass quality.

  • so will this act like a line driver cause im looking to increase the preout voltage of the sony head unit i have

  • @jake19xx Yes, it is a line driver up to 9V of cleanup signal output along with the Parametric Bass EQ and additional filters.

  • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc how come on the site under Features & Specs it sont have a yes next the line driver?

  • @jake19xx What site are you referring to? Not ours as I just reviewed them. The MX-3 has a built in line driver which is how it's possible to offer up to 9V of clean signal output. ;-)

  • so dont need the JL audio clean sweep?

  • Can you connect your power wire to a distribution block (to amp) and your ground to the chassis of your trunk rather than tapping in to your head units power and ground? I have an auxiliary input adapter for my factory H.U, i want to enhance my sound without messing with my wiring harness connections, is the mx-3 an alternative to that? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc crap my bad it was sonicelectonix

  • man i love low bass i wanna go as low as i can get.. generally i would rather cancel out 50Hz and above.. i really dont like any bass note higher.
