UPDATE: Greenpeace and Kimberly-Clark have announced the successful resolution of the Kleercut campaign as the maker of Kleenex has established a new sustainability policy focused on protecting Endangered Forests. To find out more go to

http://www.greenpeace.org/kleercut

Watch environmental activists welcome office workers at Kimberly-Clark's newest outpost with a protest over the tissue-maker's limited use of recycled fiber in its products. Posing as movers, the activists entered the office with moving boxes full of recycled toilet and tissue paper and urged the staff to sign a document calling on the company to stop destroying one of North America's wildest forests to produce disposable products. When Kimberly-Clark refused to sign a pledge protecting the Boreal forest, activists locked down to moving boxes and were eventually arrested by police officers.

  • They are doing a great job. Thanks Greenpeace. Just carry on your impressive mission. By the way I love those boxes labeled "Save The Boreal".

  • @hmattyj , then get off of the computer off your lazy ass and go help stop them yourself.

  • Awesome job! I love it! I joined greenpeace recently after following them for months and donating. Can't wait to volunteer once I turn 18 ...

Oh yeah.. And "I'm calling the police."

    LOL ...

  • Way to go! Good work.

  • there's absolutely no reason tissue or toilet paper has to be made from virgin forests anymore. It's a damned shame. The industry leaders should lead the way in using sustainable resources and deserve any grief they get for not doing so

  • Hey blplyr24. I am working for a company that does life cycle assessments of products, which are environmentally comparisons. I can assure you, that the production of normal paper requires much more energy and chemicals and causes more waste than the production of recycled paper. So you are acutally wrong.
