Irish culiture has been promoted within Northern Ireland, our security forces are now equal. Civil rights and equality has been enacted. And people now hold the right to name themself as Irish Citzens even when they were born in the north.

I think Bobby would be happy.

Plus: The whole republican movenment is not determined by what bobby sands says. Hes not the god of irish republicanism.

Most people are well aware of the 5 demands which the 1981 hunger strike was centered around. All 5 demands were eventually met. Thatcher DID negotiate with the IRA. (Had she stopped to properly wipe her hiney she would have been blown to bits in 84.) Political prisoners were released from prison which proves they were not criminals. The bigoted government Bobby Sands grew up with is gone and the Euro will be your currency within a generation. Buh-Bye!

Undefeated? Unsure what you are responding to or what your point is. The bigoted power structure of the late 60's is gone forever. The prod police force fell to kids throwing bottles. Today, Adams & McGuinness are leading figures in Irish politics, not dead or in prison. All the so called "criminals" of the PIRA were released & loyalists were forced to share power as a result of GFA. The Euro will be the currency in the north within a generation. See ya.
