No, that was the legend of Peeping Tom. Constantinople was the area of Istanbul until early 20th century. It is probably the most famous city of all time thoughout each empire. Constantinople is where the cymbals are manufactured. Another example are the Byzantine series by Meinl, Byzantine used to be the capital of Constantinople.
