German school system - listening exercise 1

Hey, I made this, since some people wanted me to just make a video where I talk German about a random topic...

I think there is too much not so good stuff xD But whatever, I though I'll just upload it and yea... Then you'll tell me what to make better. :P

@exploreGerman Oh, well that's how I've learned it, just to use it when you put two "s" while you're writing. Plus, I live in America, lols.

The usage of the ß (as many other stuff) got changed a lot recently (2000/2004) so there are completely new rules, that's why... probably not every teacher abroad has dealt that much with it yet :3

Can you give a lesson about when to use the esszet (ß)?

@Fummy007 It's when you spell a word that has two "s" in it, so you would replace the two "s" with the esszet.

Yes and no, not always and especially not since 2000/2004 after the Neue Deutsche Rechtschreibung was introduced. The ß depends on the length of the vowel which stand before.

ei is pronounced long (in this case) so you use an ß, i is short so ss

Russland is originally Rußland, but now written with ss as the u is short (and reading it with ß would sound like Ruß which means soot^^)

Ja, ich habe seit ich an meiner neuen Video-Reihe arbeite eine neue Cam die ganz schön was drauf hat... wobei es natürlich noch deutlich besser geht :)
