President Obama comments on health reform at the AFL-CIO Labor Day Picnic in Cincinnati.

He began the speech by commenting on labor in general, as well as the economy, when he switched the subject. "Just in case you were wondering," he says, "we're also going to build an America where health reform delivers more stability and security to every American." He declined to go into detail, advising the crowd to tune in on Wednesday night.

While he remarked that the debates on health reform have been "good," he said that "every debate at some point comes to an end... It's time to act and get this thing done."

Obama also had a challenge to Republicans opposed to health reform: "What are you gonna do? What's your answer? What's your solution? And you know what? They don't have one! Their answer is to do nothing."

  • Hey let's be honest here.

We've never heard a single thing from the GOP about health care (Except how Obama's plan isn't going to work, and don't even get me started on the "OMFGZ SOZIALIZTS!" crap.)

  • Obama is not socialist, communist, or fasist. Stop spreading lies!!

  • @KiLL2OPIA are you fuckin serious?

  • Obama, You LIE! I HAVE one! My Conservative solution.... screw the one-size-fits-all National INSURANCE SCHEME. Encourage LOCAL City Councils to ASK their voters if they want to create a Hospital Authority (analog of a School Board) to buy/build FREE CITY HOSPITALS (analog of a school building) in their jurisdictions. Let the voters in San Fran, Chicago & Philly approve, while the voters in Houston, Anchorage and DesMoines deny... then WATCH where the businesses go to find workers!

  • There is NO Health care problem in this Country Mr President, there is an insurance problem, Problem is no one can afford the insurance, and the insurance companies think the entire premiums should be their profits.

  • The Chicago Machine played the Obama pod people for the bunch of dumb airhead cheerleaders they are.

  • @MegaSpiderMan

Now that you're new to Planet Earth, you might examine the website of the Republican Party and of active members in the bill's debate. Hundreds of items were suggested. This scum in the White House calls whatever his opponents say "lies." This despicable creep is himself a liar of the worst sort. He's a willing tool of the insurance companies. Cui bono.

  • Statesman Ron Paul is one of the few leading men in the Nation who can lead the U.S. on the Wise & Prudent Path to American Strength.

  • Fail.

  • 4 year president

  • Only 2 statesmen you can trust Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul... they are the non spin zone... and honest.
