i sat there staring out onto the lake , pulling out blades of grass absent mindedly , wondering how everything went wrong in the space of two days , two days was all it took for my whole world to crash down around me. i looked across at the tree i used to climb back when i was little and laughed . . there was not a trace of humor in my laugh . i just found it so ironic that back then all i had to worry about was a scraped knee , and maybe a couple of bruises , broken hearts take much longer to heal . hot tears streamed down my face as i seen two small childern chasing after eachother around the tree. that used to be me and nick . . back when everything was simple and every issue was solved with a thumb war . i squeezed my eyes tightly and tried not to think about the past . . it hurt too much too remember , but how can you put away the past ? i felt my mind wonder back two days ago . . back when everything was perfect . . or so i thought.
i layed down on my bed stretched out humming along to some all time low songs , trying not to frustrate myself with these stupid algerbra questions that i had for homework when suddenly i heard a loud knock on my bedroom window , i sighed and got up and opened it up and fell back down onto my bed.
demi :"nick when are you going to start using the front door like a normal human ?"
joe : * Swings his legs over the ledge and sits next to demi on the bed* maybe when i start being a normal human.
demi: *rolls her eyes* like thats ever going to happen
joe: *laughs* you never know , maybe i might wake up one morning and think to myself , hey lets give being normal a try
demi:*giggles* and then noon will come and you'll get bored and try to skatebord off a cliff or something
joe: now that sounds so much more like me !!
demi:*picks up her algerbra text book* of course it dose joesphe, i know you too well
joe: *sarcastic* sure you do demi , im surprised you even notice im around anymore with that boyfriend of yours
demi: * hits him with her book* jerk , of course i notice you ! . . i just choice not to acknowledge you
joe: *pretends to be upset* Fine ! ill just leave then *gets up and walks out of her room*
demi:*shakes her head and sighs* Joe ! come back *leaves her bedroom and walks down stairs* Joe ?? OHHH Joeyyyyy ?? where are you ?? *laughs* come on joe this isnt funny !! *walks into the kitchen and stops suddenly* what the hell are you doing ?
joe:*covered in flour* making please-notice-me cookies *gives her a crooked smile*
demi: *throws some flour into his face* No your TRYING to make please-notice-me cookies , and not very well might i add
joe:*laughs* your gonna regreat that
demi: *teases him* oh am i joe ? am i really ???
joe: *gets a fist full of flour and throws it in her face* yeah demi you are
demi: okay this means war ! *gets the bag and hurls
it at his face*
joe :*grabs her by the waist and starts to twirl her around* cut it out demi !!
demi:*laughing so hard she cant breathe* me cut it out ? stop twirling me and PUT ME DOWN !!
joe:*laughs* alright , alright *he puts her on her feet*
demi:*dizzily grabs him around the neck* Arhh i cant see
joe: *grabs her waist to steady her* try opeing your eyes that always helps *he laughs*
demi: *realises her eyes are squeezed shut* oh . . haha im an idiot
joe:*still has her by the waist , his vice becomes serious and deep* no demi , no your not
demi: *blushes* shut up joe
joe:*brushes some hair from her eyes* no demi , i've kept my mouth shut for far too long *he leans in and kisses her*
Demi: *pushes away* joe what are you doing ?
joe: kissing you . . isnt it obvious ?
demi: *furious* joe i have a boyfriend !
joe: demi he dosnt love you like i do
demi: *annoyed* how the hell would you know joe? you cant do this to me , were meant to be best friends !
joe: *frustrated* demi thats just it , i cant be your best friend anymore , i cant even stand near you anymore without fighting the urge to kiss you , and i know your dating my brother demi but i cant help it ! *he walks up closer to her* i want you
demi:*looks at the ground* J-joe , i cant do this . . im sorry , i just cant
joe: *frowns* why not ? i know you better then nick does , i could make you happy demi , soo happy
demi:*fighting back tears* joe it wouldnt work with us
joe: *annoyed* demi you dont know that ! we are never gonna know unless we take a chance here !
demi: i cant do this to nick , joe i love him
joe: you love me too , dont deny it demi , you kissed me back ! i felt it
demi:*confused* joe what about taylor ? you remember her dont you , shes your GIRLFRIEND!
