Dundee United and Dunfermline, both newly promoted to the Premier Division, clashed at East End Park in a hard-fought encounter.

Midfielder Jamie Dolan, making his debut, ran the show for the Tangerines and set up veteran midfielder Jim McInally for the goal that would wrap up the points for United.
