I don't like windows vista but I would much prefer to use a pc with vista than a mac because windows vista may suck but its much better than mac.

@geoffwoade And, really, are you able to built a baseline mac-pro, with that exact spec or replacement that are really close in value, for $1000 to 1500, including shipping, a good mouse, a good keyboard but no screen? I wonder how you will do that, knowing that the processor is like $280 and the graphic card like 120... How do you get a brand new mothercard, sound card, an OS, 1tb internal hard drive, USB stuff, and your work under $800? It might be just a computer, but cash is cash.

@geoffwoade Than you do not account your time, and might use some "pirated software" and find some part for cheap... If you are serious, you must account the time spend and every discount ;) And I'm pretty sure came back to an approximation of the law of one price: In an efficient market, all identical goods must have only one price. Consider that Mac are high-end machine, look at the same performance and count everything - the cost is so near that personal preferences take the upper hand.
