UPDATE: With the dynolicious app on my iPhone 4 the car went from 0-60 in 5.35 seconds. This was the best of three runs. The first run I floored it off the line and spun just like in my video. That run time was bad! 7.3 seconds. The next run I went easier on the throttle and then put it to the floor. It still spun, but the time was 5.71 seconds. The last run was better, spinning less and was 5.35 seconds. I wonder if I can get a 5 flat!

0-60 in my lightly modified 1997 GTP. Lots of tire spin!

How's the rest of the car.. body, etc...?

The 3800 is a great motor and lasts forever! If the engine goes out, it's easy to find a cheap used one. One thing to look for is intake manifold coolant leaks. The intake manifold gaskets go bad and allow coolant to go into the oil. It happened to me and I spun a rod bearing.

Gas mileage is great! If I reset the mileage meter in the driver info center I get mid to low 30's on the highway. I've seen it stay steady at 34 on a long highway drive.

With mixed driving (city/highway) it gets mid 20's.

@3859c1 Hey man in my area there is a 97 gtp for sale but it has 180000 miles on it. The owner wants 1300 is that a good deal. He said something was wrong with the heater core but im a little weary about it.I just sold my 2000 se for 2300 to find a gt or gtp.
