Letting Go

Yesterday afternoon, over and over 200 members of my cousin Tanya's family, friends, and community gathered in memory of her. All dressed in pink, holding pink roses. My sweet cousin, lost her 5-year battle with breast cancer last Sunday. Tanya was an exceptional person who will be missed by all those in her life.

Her wish was that I help create a memorial service which paid tribute to not only her but those who she loved. Yesterday afternoon, we celebrated her life, and those who helped her live it to the fullest. This video, pays tribute to her battle and hopefully shows you the beautiful loving soul she had. She was remarkably beautiful, inside and out. As are the people she left behind.

In addition to the video, she ask us to read the following poem. I was fortunate enough to get to read it. I want to share it with you all.

"When Tomorrow Starts Without Me"

When tomorrow starts without me,
And Im not here to see.
If the sun should rise and find your
Eyes filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldnt cry,
The way you did today.
While thinking of the many things
We didnt get to say.

I know how much you loved me,
Please try to understand,
That Jesus came and called my name
And took me by the hand.

And said my place was ready
In heaven far above.
And that Id have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Dont think were far apart,
Im right here in your heart.
