Brookergeddon: a series of classic articles from celebrity misanthrope Charlie Brooker's previous incarnation as a videogame "journalist", compiled, edited and read by some guy. 100% unofficial and unauthorized.
Episode 2: Hopkins FBI. The young, bullet-headed Charlie (played here by John Nettles) absolutely eviscerates blood-soaked cult item Hopkins FBI, giving the game one of the lowest scores in PC Zone history in the process. Includes the entirety of the game's opening sequence, partly to illustrate how little Charlie's exaggerating here, and partly because it was a very short review.
Charlie's actually very lucky because it doesn't seem as if he stuck with the game long enough to become appalled at the hideous misogyny, pointless gore, insane plot twists (at one point Hopkins dies and goes to Heaven and is forced to disguise himself in drag in order to escape Paradise itself and return to Earth and so help me I am not making that up) and, because it deserves mentioning twice, HORRIBLE MISOGYNY (seriously, it's like a refrigerator showroom, this game, and an incredibly blasé one at that - absolutely unforgiveable) which really define this game. Kind of a shame really, I'd love to have seen him give this the Baby Mind Reader treatment.
Footage culled from elsewhere on the tube.
Where can I download this one?

Wow, sounds like an awful, awful game. My condolences for ever having to play the wretched thing; looks utterly broken.
Again, thanks for breathing new life into these old bits of Brooker genius; you really do seem to add quite a bit of character to it!
