Radio Australia on shortwave 9500 kHz received in Germany during a DXpedition to the fields on 10 January 2012 at 2028 UTC.
Receiver: Sony ICF-2001D with 30 meter longwire antenna
Thanks to the wide filter of the Sony I enjoyed excellent clear sound and the SYNC detector kept fading distortion low.
At a distance of 16140 km Radio Australia's Shepparton station is the second furthest SW broadcasting station that I can receive.
@pesnyaozemle Yes, almost. By the way, the signal was very good with the telescopic antenna as well when I tried it outside my car. When I tuned to 9500 two days ago around the same time, there was almost no signal from Australia "thanks" to poor conditions after the solar eruption on Monday. Thanks for your comment!

Exellent signal from 10000 miles away ! The length of wire fits this channel, I think.

@MARKGM20877 Thanks Mark... It's always a pleasure to receive and listen to Radio Australia and the wide filter in combnation with the SYNC makes the Sony a good choice for this purpose. What bothers me, however, is that meanwhile even those strong signals are affected by local noise at my home. Cheers Matthias
