Neurogenic tremors - about six months after starting with the Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE).

TRE helps the body release tension and trauma through activating it's natural shaking and trembling mechanisms. This restores balance and brings a combination of deep relaxation and alertness.

Here is a fellow animal releasing tension in a similar manner:

And an interview with David Berceli, the originator of the exercises:

  • Hi! Very interesting! Any groups in Germany???? :-)

  • @The1Engelchen Yes, I see on the TRE website (search for Trauma Releasing Exercises and it's the first result) there is at least one in Germany. You can contact him to see if he knows of others, perhaps closer to where you are.

  • @russkibog81 I am in the certification process in TRE so I am part of a TRE group that meets occasionally and have also had individual sessions with someone certified at level 3 in TRE. It's been very helpful in understanding the process better.

I also use The Work (Byron Katie) to work on the old beliefs/wounds that surface from time to time. That combination seems to work well for me now.

  • @russkibog81 I think it can be very helpful to work with a counselor - someone experienced in TRE and/or talk therapy (can also be done over the phone/Skype).

  • @chrysopoeia321 Do you do everything on your own, or do you see a counselor from to time?

  • @russkibog81 The pain was more uncomfortable than anything else, perhaps a 3. It can probably be worse depending on what's going on. I also had quite sore leg muscles the first few days I did the shaking. It all passed relatively quickly for me.

  • @chrysopoeia321 Thanks for sharing, that was very helpful. Cutting back is often a good idea. On a scale from 0 (zero pain) to ten (excruciating, almost unbearable pain), how would describe your back pain? I didn't have any recollections so far, but I'm aware that this is powerful stuff. Progress is slow sometimes, but it takes time to undo the patterns that have been generated during a lifetime. Keep shaking!

  • @russkibog81 I have had several quite intense releases: Nausea for a few days when my upper body started shaking more. Energy released when my shoulders started shaking, which made it difficult to sleep for a few days. And also some things from early childhood surfacing during one period. I remind myself I am seeing them on their way out. And I also take it as a reminder to slow down and do less shaking for a while.

  • @russkibog81 I experienced some pain in my lower back in the beginning, and was told it's not uncommon. It did pass after a while. You may want to do less for a while and see how that works, and perhaps also see if it changes if you emphasize (for instance) the standing position rather than the lying down.

  • @RichBrIs Hello guys, I did the exercises on an almost daily basis until mid of December, then I had to stop because I had real bad pain in my thighs. Did you ever experience something similar? Did you ever have intense releases?`Looking forward to your answers!
