The Shakti Mat has made an incredible difference in my aching back.
It is a wonderful way to beat the stress of the day!

  • Is it very uncomfortable? How hard are the plastic spikes? Appreciate the great idea and will check it out! (Ouchy on the boobs, though...)

  • It is mildly uncomfortable for the first few minutes, but your endurance and patience are rewarded. The spikes are AB surgical plastic, very strong. It is a bit tough to handle face down, but it is incredibly theraputic! If your skin is sensitive, you may want to use a thin cloth over the spikes the first few times until you are acclimated. It is always preferable to place your bare skin on the spikes, though. ENJOY!

  • I think you need to build up to the 20 minutes a day recommended, got mine today and BOY did it hurt like hell when I first lay on it......then a burning sensation into about 10 minutes, gonna take my time and build up to 20 mins, I have back and muscle problems so i'm hoping for some relief!

  • I found out that the Shaktimat and Yantramat were illegaly copied from Iplikator D3 which was patented in Slovakia and is being manufactured since 1992. It was copied in 2007 by one of the swedish dealers which renamed Iplikator to Shaktimat and then later appeared Yantramat. Look on this video:

  • @dangerousdan71 well, over a year and a half later and I still use it at least 5 times a week. It is the perfect way to unwind after hours at the keyboard and always put me into a nice alpha/nap state from which I wake up in 20-30 minutes later quite refreshed. I think it's done wonders for my back and circulation, not to mention my mental state. I have found if I lay down in the same position even without the Shakti Mat, my body kicks in the endorphines automatically!

  • SWEDEN!!!! I used on bare skin is the only way! I Started to use it a few days ago. i use mine 25 minutes on my back, usually a few times a day. will increase the time a bit more soon.

  • @Lelabear which is better this or the Yantra Mat?

  • @susandan110 whats your thoughts on it now, since you first bought it 8 months ago?
