In 1985, National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Dr. Robert Ballard solved one of the greatest nautical mysteries of the 20th century when, while on a top secret naval assignment, he found the final resting place of the RMS Titanic. Now, join the legendary explorer as he reveals the details behind this story of stealth, subs and superpowers ripped from the pages of a Cold War spy thriller. Learn how Ballard's search for Titanic became the cover story to ward off Soviet suspicions, and dive to the ocean floor to explore the covert expeditions that gave Ballard the cutting-edge forensic evidence that would lead him straight to Titanic within a matter of days.

  • i'd like 2 see titanic be built into a museum where everyone can tour the ship. affordable for all. even nicer, would be where the titanic could sail again coastal trips from one town to another for an affordable price for everyone. it's probably a dream that won't be made into a reality but it would be nice. gotta have enough lifeboats this time!

  • Someone could make a great spy movie out of this story :)

  • @ittssnikki me too. Too bad there wasn't a part 8 that focused on Titanics debri field.

  • I wish their was a part 8 that talked more about Titanic. I think they showed and talked about the submarine's debri field more than Titanics.

  • greatest discovery of his career? actually of the world's history huh?

  • @rockndude87 We have a replica of the Titanic in Branson Missouri.

  • @RicMaster3000 If you're talking about making a replica that'd be a cool idea, but it would be expensive tickets...

  • @RicMaster3000

  • it's evelyn salt who sank the scorpion...
