Can somebody explain the ending?Is that Jack Torrance in another life where he was the owner/caretaker of the Overlook,and then we see him being brought back there again in his next life to take care of it???

Song does seem quite creepy yet so hauntingly romantic at the same time. That's probably why Stanley Kubrik chose these Bowlly/Noble British songs for this movie... So many movies try to recreate a creepy, haunting 1930's or 1940's sound to go with their scary images and it doesn't work. They usually play a Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller tune which is far to upbeat and lighthearted! This song instantly transports you into a glamorous 1920's or 30's ballroom like in the movie...
