Female spiderling of the long-tailed spider (Ariamnes cylindrogaster, family Theridiidae) feeding on a crane fly. Her body was 15 mm long. This species is believed to be a spider-hunting specialist. Despite the accepted theory, the prey was not a spider but an insect! Her cast-off skin was also tangled on the minimalistic web (which consisted of just a few thread of non-sticky silk). Mid-October 2008 in Japan.
