  • is the structure gold-plated?

  • @frizstyler

No no, all parts are polished poormans gold (= brass) :-))

    Greetings from Holland

    Stirlingmodels- Huib Visser

    Haastige spoed is zelden goed.

    Gr. Huib Visser

  • Two questions: One, did you make the glass heating chamber/piston? If so, how?

  • @123PSI The displacercilinder and the displacer are made of standard tubes, shortened with a little diamond drive on my lathe.

  • A truly BEAUTIFUL piece of craftsmanship!

  • does not fly!!

    only spins, turns and turns

    it is just a motor..not a helicopter..

    helicopter flies

  • Beautiful work. Very nice...Are you interested in selling it??

  • amazing

  • netjes... alleen jammer dat hij altijd boven de vlam moet blijven...

    GOED WERK :D

  • It's very beautiful, a lovely idea, I think Stirling engines are nice, but if you're going to make one, doing this kind of thing with the torque makes it feel a little less pointless :)

  • Simply beautifull!!!

  • i'm pretty shure it could fly for few seconds using extremely low weight coponents and using aluminium and glass (as u did) for the too hot parts.

  • @yo6ial im with this... alloy, teflon, carbon fibre.... could be possible with something like a lazybee, say... multi cylinder of course, and with a heat source THAT WONT BLOW ITSELF OUT LOL!
