George Jones sang,"whose gonna fill there shoes" and here are the people that should have. Buddy Miller. Lyle Lovett. Steve Earle. Hayes Carll. James Mcmurtry. Chris Knight. Paul Thorn and so many more.
This man should be a superstar. There are very few that can compare. He's an equal to Lyle lovett and Steve earle and many others here in Texas. Thank God for Texas and the music and writers here. It dont get no better than this.
The wacky looking guitars are by an Italian company called Wandre. They've become kind of collectable, so they're hard to find and spendy. Buddy is a rep for Eastwood Guitars who make a commendable copy that's pretty affordable. It's all about those weird pick-ups though. I don't know how they're wound, but the tone is part of Buddy's signature sound.
great music....soulful...masterful.

Hey Buddy,
I understand there's still an opening for Rick Stein's band in Austin. Maybe you, me, Duke and Josh D can play at the Backroom this weekend.

We saw Buddy Miller on the Cayamo cruise in March 2008. Missed him in 2009 due to his illness. Would love to see Buddy and Julie on the boat in 2010.
