After the current batch of the old rapture-hustlers like Harold Camping, Hal Lindsey, Tim LaHaye, John Hagee, etc. have all died, will people finally grow up mentally and realize that Jesus won't come back with a sack full of presents for them?

Why do people hold so clutchingly to the rapture theory? I am in constant discussion with a brother who cannot give me scripture that states plainly that we will be raptured, cannot show me in the word that Satan is the current ruler of this earth, cannot show me in scripture where Jesus is "not yet" king of kings, cannot even begin to discuss how Paul is wrong in saying thst "thete is no jrw or greek, man or female, slave or free." It's always amazing to listen to Amillennialist, Partial-preterists attempt to refute Dispensational futurists.
Lk.17:22-37 is not speaking about the temple destruction in 70 A.D., as partial-preterists assert. Nor does the context suggest the one's "taken" are the righteous who are "taken" up in the rapture. Just study the context in light of Mt.24:36-41. Who is "taken"? The Wicked! Who is "left behind"? The righteous, to be "caught up in the air".

@ CTYFOLK You said "how Paul was wrong in saying..." amongst other incorrect statements. The Apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. So Paul is not wrong…. JESUS is King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s. All 66 books of the protestant canon are God breathed. The New & Old Testaments are the Word of God…. It’s a grand illusion if you think you can judge God’s Book…for It judges you....
