In order to qualify for Medicaid, a person must meet certain eligibility requirements. Applicants must fall within a certain income range and are limited to a certain number of other assets. Jason Lazarus, a financial planner in Orlando, FL, explains the requirements and what is required to qualify.

  • I wonder if medicaid is applied differently in each state. How about Medicaid fraud?

  • Medicaid in Virginia is bullshit! I have no money and a fractured wrist, and I was denied.

  • The $1 of SSI and Medicaid coverage can be taken away behind the backs of residents of a state. Check to see if this has been done in your state. Even if it it used to be available it may be gone now. Its gone in Missouri, so just because a child gets SSI and is special needs does not make them atomatically eligible for Medicaid.
