"Divert auxiliary power from port nacelles [plural] to forward shields"? That order makes no sense. And where are these "shields" in this movie? Obviously the Narada's 24th century weapons are too powerful for them but we don't even see the effect of the torpedoes breaking through the shield barrier. It looks like the Enterprise had no shields up at all.

He knew the Enterprise from history because it evidently was a legendary vessel, as his captain and first officer. So he became curious to see If the legends were there already, since he specifically wanted to punish one of them. Curious how he tried to prevent Kirk from becoming captain by trying to kill him but failed, making him become captain and a bigger legend even sooner.

@deltaboy2011 How about making a future "Borg Enhanced" torpedo more powerful than a slap on the wrist?
:P

@Idazmi7 Anybody can make changes on the yield of the torpedo. Based on past star trek series. It would be very boring if they make all ships destroyed in one hit.
-
@Goatlover1027 He's from the future and he knows about the legendary Enterprise.
-
Call me stupid, but why does he stop firing because he saw the name "enterprise"? The Enterprise was a new ship, so how would Niro know?
-
@deltaboy2011 Actually, the TOS torpedo could kill a Constitution in one hit. Or a continent.
Nice try.
-
@Idazmi7 Why not? Its based on the Star Trek comics titles "Coundown" and its more effect than one torpedo. A torpedo that turns into many and spreads damage to all parts of the ship instead or only one particular area. Hence in real life the use of cluster munitions instead of one bomb.

@deltaboy2011 Borg tech on a romulan mining ship that uses cluster missiles? No.

@DJDelta0 FAH TOHPEDOES!
-
Haha did anyone hear that Romulan with the British accent? Idk, I thought it was funny...
-
@nickdf420 Well its simple remember in the battle of USS Kelvin one of the crewman asked "our shields even up?" Simple answer to that is the borg technology ignored the shields and even take it down somewhat. Thats pretty scary.
Do you have the battle of the USS Kelvin?
