The use of Ingstrom Escape Chute is intended for equipping buildings or designated areas with emergency rescue and escape systems that building occupants can use to evacuate external to the structure when exits or stairwells are blocked or unsafe. This is not intended to replace existing code mandated exits or stairwells but rather to offer an alternative means of egress when traditional escape routes are blocked or unsafe.

  • @Planeguy13 The escape chute serve as both alternative and supplemental means of egress for buildings and structures when other means of escape may be damaged or inaccessible during catastrophic events. All of these circumstances and more have to be planned for if the building evacuation is to be successful. During emergency, people would go to the nearest stairway to get down, not unless the escape route is damaged or not passable..smoke, fire....

  • do you got a better idea of getting down when you are trapped up there?

  • What the hell are you thinking? HORRIBLE idea!
