Zopiclone is indicated for the short term treatment of insomnia where sleep initiation or sleep maintenance are prominent symptoms.
The side effect most commonly seen in clinical trials is taste alteration or dysgeusia (bitter, metallic taste, which is usually fleeting in most users but can persist until the drug's half-life has expired). Palpitations may occur in the daytime following withdrawal from the drug after prolonged periods of use (especially when taken for more than two weeks).

Zopiclone induces amnesia type memory impairments similar to triazolam and Rohypnol. Impairment of driving skills with a resultant increased risk of road traffic accidents is probably the most important side effect. This side effect is not unique to zopiclone but also occurs with other hypnotic drugs.

  • You don't want this. Try marijuana.

  • I use zopiclone now and then, and I like it. But it certainly is a strong medcine that is highly addictive. Long and excessive use no doubt will cause brain und liver damage. The "metallic" taste on the tongue does not disturb me because it indicates that the pill works. I would not recommend to drink milk the next morning, though - it's disgusting..

  • @slampussss thats exactly what happened to me last week, except I woke up in Leeds hospital about 2 days after in with complete amnesia, with my mum and dad there. Normally I would have been completely embarressed but thankfully it took about 2 more days for that nice lack of awarness to wear off - now my family think im a druggie and im too ashamed even face any of them.

  • @munted66 and rem sleep which will leave u groggy despite sleeping after the weed

  • @chrychek marijuana disturbs the rem sleep cycle which is important

  • I love zopiclone it's a real life saver for people with ADHD or "always on" brains like me. My mind never takes a break so it's nice to turn off when I want to go sleep. For all the nay sayers you drink coffee in the morning, you take pills for a headache, contraception pills (a type of steroid)! People eat drugs like sweets and don't even realise it

  • @chrychek

Yes you are right. I was given Zopiclone to help sleep and have spent 18 months thinking I was going to die with some crazy ass symptoms (too many to list). Weed on the other hand has only one withdrawal symptom and that is boredom. :)

  • Trust it's addictive and will give you bigger problems if you stop.

  • @slampussss I could only think about how i would get more when i came out. It took me about 6 months before i didnt think about imovane every day. And now over a year has passed and i still i cant completely get this shit out off my head! I have sworn to myself that i will never take it again but if someone gave me a pill i have no idea if i can hold myself. So dont do my mistake! stay away from this shit!

  • Imovane is not something i recommend! I got it from a doctor and soon discovered that you get "high" if you didnt go to sleep. So i never went to sleep when i took it and as time passed by i started to take more and more until one night when i took three 15mg and sat down at the computer. Then all went black. I had amnesia for 3 days and and when i got my consciousness back i was at a emergency psychiatric hospital. Apparently i hade taken 30 fucking pills! The whole time was at the hospital

  • I've been on zodiclone before only very short term for about a week it's pretty good stuff I think Royhpnol is the best if you have very severe insomnia
