a routine that can be used anywhere on the table to help potting and all done without a dummy ball, simply because the dummy ball method is a poor way learning to pot balls

  • re 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full ball. if you are playing a 1/2 ball shot for instance, do you aim right down the centre of the cue ball and the cue at the 1/2 ball point ? I find that a lot of my shots go too straight and miss the pocket. it sounds stupid but can you help. also I have a habit of bouncing the cue on the rail when playing shots and failing to make proper contact with the cue ball. what causes this ?

  • How in any way is this usefull

  • nice vid maxman. just thought id share something with anyone watching, when I practise potting blacks of the spot i try to get position on black after potting and see how many i can do, think my record is about 8 .. fun to play against mates aswell. thnx keep the vids coming very helpull definatly improved.

  • Thanks Neil, I never heard of using dummy ball before hehe

  • neilmaxman) 2 reasons to miss a pot - didn't 'see the potting angle' or stroke error (alignment, wrist flip, head movement, elbow flash, etc) Often one does not know the cause, especially if this has been a pot that is regularly missed so there all kinds of negative thoughts. If you use billard cue balls, simply put the dot cue ball on the spot aligned so the the dot shows the correct potting angle. Miss & its obvious it was the stroke & U get to train your brain to see the correct angle.
