Um. This is not secular news. The secular news would have gone like this.
"Old lonely Guy with a limp, meets cute girl who offers to pray for him to try and heal him.
He lets her. Of course she fails as there is no god.
He realizes his gammy leg is a great way to meet cute young Christians who will try and heal him. He knows its never going to work, so he can keep getting them to "lay their hands on him" for ever. Old guy, makes a smart decision.
His leg remains, unhealed.

Soo... she prays. Booyah! She fails - he is not healed, nothing happens at all... but the cute girl gets the old guy to join Bethel church?
I think perhaps, the old guy is looking for a different miracle than what was on offer.

Yes, I personally have helped with the Holiday Feast at Bethel by greeting and praying for (as they were coming in for a beautiful meal) hundreds of people who most of us would not give the time of day to! They not only gave them a beautiful meal but had a salvation message and had clothes and stuff they were giving out. This is just one of many things they do for the poor I also worked in an outreach to at risk youth living in low income housing....

WOW - so encouraging to see SECULAR NEWS media actually showing & speaking about a church & christians in a POSITIVE light for once! Very rare indeed....LOVE it.
When NON-CHRISTIANS start GLORIFYING GOD in this way due to the actions of christians...you KNOW it's God....just like the bible says about unbelievers glorifying God because of seeing the good fruit of authentic christians...to draw unbelievers closer to seeing God, now THIS is good fruit!

@tawboyle I have no problem with healing and laying on of hands. God's word is clear on the issue of healing period. I do have an issue of testing of spirits in some areas in these churches.

Seek the Lord on this. He is faithful! If you ask Him to, He will reveal to you if this is of Him or not. :)

@MzDragonfyre I think the thing to look at when testing spirits is whether or not the fruit of that particular pastor, person or ministry leads people to a closer/deeper intimacy with Christ, or whether it leads people astray. In the Bible salvation is three fold... saved, healed, delivered. As believers often we are concerned with the first aspect of salvation but forget about the rest. What about Matthew 10:8 or John 14:11-14?
Instead of trying to make a case against someone, seek the Lord.

@MzDragonfyre I was just wondering (honestly just a thought that came to me as I read Zec. 5 and your reply)... since we know there are FALLEN ANGELS (1/3 of the angels to be exact).. IF these two women are fallen angels, and there is still 2/3 of the angels that are Holy unto God... isn't it possible that SOME of those remaining angels would be female? Or did satan only take female angels with him? Leaving all of the male angels with God?

No way man. I've seen so many healing miracles it's not funny. Mircales are a sign of Gos'd power and more importantly God's love for us. And people don't need a pastor to see God work. It's happening in New Zealand too. Bill aint here.

This is awesome. Keep going for it. We have a Lady in our church whos body is hardening from the inside out and tht doctor say there is no cure. ( i know one....Jesus..) they give her a couple years to live. We are fasting for her so keep it up bethel.
