One of the best speaches from The West Wing. But this one's by good ol' Leo McGary. Tried to use it on a friend once and seriously stuffed it up. Hopefully it works for others.

I realize it's T.V. and for dramatic purposes you have to disband belief but they didn't know
he wasn't going to see a doctor so how could they decide that someone should take him to the hospital.

When Sorkin wrote the show, there was always something extra special about the Christmas episodes. In Excelsis Deo in Season 1, this episode (Noel) in Season 2, and Bartlet for America from Season 3 were all deeply moving. Just one more testament to Sorkin's brilliance.

@step5732 Leo was my favorite character from the very first episode I saw. Different aspects of him remind me of several different people I know and admire, and that's the mark of a good character -- someone who you feel like you know.
