Where did our universe come from? It is one of the most interesting questions that we can tackle as a species. There are only two possible answers: Either God or Allah or some other all-powerful being created it, or a natural process created it. But which is it?

Has any one ever noticed how when the cathloic church says some thing cant happen because god didnt make it that way. Then when science profs it other wise then the church very quickly says yes god did it so then every christian says o if god did it then it must be true. Face it there is no god sorry to say take to the guy who was christian for 12 years then turned im a lot happier now :)

Nature created it! Its just the same when someone says that God did It . What is nature ? Who is nature? Why nature did not gave us wings if we needed to fly instead of us building machines to fly? According to the theory of evolution that should've happen! And if It is a theory why it is Being thaught in schools and universities as truth? And that landing on the moon never happen It was a hoax!

Believing in God creator is not only a problem to atheists but also to others beliefs.Why ? For several reasons.

1) Religion with or Believing in God/Allah create several levels of believers : extremist/fundamentalists/miss­ionaries/moderates

2) R/B in God is based on the principle that everything is God which creates appropriation, rejection, incorporation.

3)R/B in God generate a dualistic worldview : creator/creation, good/evil, hell/paradise. Duality causes confrontation. (see the good point from yankinCanada).

4)R/B in God generates inteference in others life, others beliefs : GOSPEL

5)R/B in God makes followers believe that they hold THE TRUTH, the only Truth.

The combination of theses elements engenders, proselytism and the volition to convert everyone to Christianity, the Gospel.

Denigrate others beliefs (your belief is satan) if not denigration it's appropriation of others realizations (Sri Pada) and sometime destruction (in Mongolia and S.Korea) because nothing can exist outside God. typical theism is destructive.

It causes hordes of people to believe that they do not necessarily have to negotiate with their fellow humans on matters of human well being and ethics. It informs peoples decision making and thus the policy that we all have to live under.

It aligns people into out-groups vs. in-groups along lines of; good vs. evil, Enlightened vs. unenlightened, The saved vs. the damned, Believer vs. infidel, With the truth vs. without the truth.

This is destructive thinking.

So therefore you stereotype everyone who believes in a God as being destructive? Isnt that quite unfair? I mean, surely there must be some good people out there who believe in God, who dont mind that evolution is taught, who respect homosexuals etc?

I suppose that's most of it. =) Encountering people acting on religious beliefs is very much like seeing a person take a dump on your porch, then screaming at you that his invisible friend told him to do it, and that this friend is always right. Followed by a lecture of how I'm obliged to enjoy having a pile of fresh shit on my doorstep ever morning.

Ultimately, the problem comes back to "faith". Believing things without evidence causes people to make decisions based on a delusional view of reality. This horrible undermining of people's ability to function reasonably in their daily lives is even held up as the greatest virtue by the organizations profiting off of turning people into tithe paying slaves.

Faith also prevents science, because once you say "God did it" about something. There's nothing more to investigate.

Then you have the fact that false beliefs directly cause actions. From abortion clinic bombings to suicide bombings, people are appealing to God as a justification. Even wars are justified with religious language. And of course, as nukes are spreading to more and more nations, we have to live with more and more suicidal delusional people being in charge of such weapons, creating an incredibly dangerous environment.
