Part 3

This is our interperetation of Seussical the Musical, performed by myself and the rest of my Musical Theatre class. It basically the real deal, with a little 80's rock theme added and a few scenes taken out. This was filmed by another one of our actors parents, not mine. Special thanks goes out to Shelli Delgado and her parents for providing this footage for me.

This was performend at NOHS on May 15th and 16th, 2009

We spent about 5 months rehersing for an hour and a half 2 - 3 times a week during school, so considering our limited time, I think we came together quite well. We all had a lot of fun doing a great show like this. It was really great to be be in a class filled with so many funny and talented people, it made my first real on-stage experience really amazing.

This was our May 15th performance, meaning it was our FIRST performance in front of an audience. As a small warning we were having a bit of mic trouble in a few places, so I'll try to place subtitles where necessary.

Thanks for watching!

  • anyone have an adivce on wat song i should sing for my audition at my school?

  • @LarissaLovesEmo That depends on what part you're auditioning for

  • The play was great, but the settings were very boring and plain. I know you did't have much to work with but still it the same background through the whole thing don't help me to see the jungle or whatever. The play lively, the settings lifeless.

  • @miarowson I completely agree, I wish we could have done more =/

  • This part isnt in our play. well the begining about a town.

  • What part specifically, the part about Whoville?

  • @miarowson I see your point, but I think the scaffolding is an interesting choice. I actually prefer the minimal set pieces, just because this show is all about using your imagination, and that is exactly what I do when seeing this. Sets aren't important in telling a story..great actors can do that all by themselves.

  • We had glow in the dark props during this song-3 when I was in seussical, everyone painted a fish and the tub was glow in the dark... It was amazing-3

  • wow! your horton's voice is awesome!

  • This is sooo helpful because our school is gonna throw on this show n I wanna be jojo

  • @AmytheGuardie12 Actually, I've been in three musicals where I got a role of speaking only which is what I prefer. Just because it is a musical does not mean every character sings

  • @SilverAtom1414 Its a MUSICAL.

    Hince there all gonna sing.

  • I play the cat in my show (Seussical Jr.) and I was ad because I thought it was a boy part. But your show was amazing and so was your cat, and she was a girl, so thank you for making feel a lot better!

  • I have seen many seussicals, and yours was the best

  • @SilverAtom1414 No, every lead sings, I found out the hard way when I got my script and saw General Schmitz had a song lol

  • Are there any lead characters in this that are only a speaking role? No solos?

  • my school is doing suessical this november
