Noypi is a slang term informally used on conversations. I guess you could describe as partly an evolution of words. From Filipino (or Pilipino), it became Pinoy, and later on Noypi. The term became popular when the a popular band called Bamboo introduced an intense rock song entitled Noypi. Bamboo's Noypi chorus goes:

Hoy, Pinoy ako
Buo aking loob
May agimat ang dugo ko.
