@swedeman73 Yes I know it seems quite fast. It seems Takara Tomy has quite a lot of bullet trains with two speed settings. I'm trying to work out which one is the fastest. Or maybe they are all the same... :-P

Yes, it has two speed settings. It is not a Piarelli train. It is made by Tomy. I know it is not the fastest real train, but as a toy train it seems to be very fast.
