thought it was the best one. Now after having mincraft n seeing peoples twice as big i still think its the best.

one thing notch needs to do... weapon/tool repair, place one peice of material next to a tool/weapon (same material the item is made out of, ofcourse), and if you do that, it should repair the item's hp.

I don't know if if anyone has said it yet but an easy way to keep from getting lost in your caves/mines is to place torches on the left of you while progressing, then when you want to go back to base you just keep the torches on the right of you and you'll find your way back.

@zaperatus That would also work, maybe even better than 3 pieces of the same material. And i also agree that it should be redstone, because it currently has little practical use for most players which aren't like programers or something. And considering it's not extremely rare (i have 5 stacks of it in my surrent save) it would give it a nice new use because currently i don't even bother to mine it because it's just gonna take up my chest space.

@dinamitemaster What about a different material all together? like a semi-rare material that repairs 5 points on the health bar of the tool for every 1 material used (so it would take like 7 to fully repair a wooden weapon) or perhaps redstone instead of a new material.

@zaperatus The problem is that 1 piece repairing the whole tool would mean that people would not even make many new tools and just repair them. 3 pieces or whatever it takes to make the tool would be better because you would still save the wood for the handle but it wouldn't be so extremely cheap. So you would have to choose between losing wood and making many tools or keeping the wood but having to return to the workbench more. 1 piece would just be too little.

@dinamitemaster Then what could be the purpose of repairing then, because it takes 2 or 3 of the material to make the tool, if 3 repairs the tool all the way, it would be better to just make a new tool. I still stand with my idea of 1 material to repair because 3 is stupid.
