Russian Lessons, the latest documentary from Andrei Nekrasov [and his wife Olga Konskaya]. A big recommendation to go out and catch it at one of the Film Festivals. I just saw it in Rotterdam. This particular clip highlights how also the western media catches blame in manipulating the viewer by forging image material, to portray one of the fighting sides as "the bad guys", whereas they could and should have known better.

"The film puts the recent [Georgian-Russian] war in the context of the post-Soviet history which has managed to keep its darkest pages from the international public's attention, despite dozens of relevant UN resolutions and OSCE conventions. At the same time as Milosevic was earning the reputation as the biggest evil in the post-communist world, a perfectly comparable - but perhaps even more cruel - campaign of terror and ethnic cleansing was taking place in parts of Georgia."

  • eh dude, that is exactly Andrei;s point... that western media just copied certain stories without verifying. The buildings you see, that they tell is Tskinkvali, is actually Gori. People who have been there could know. This clip is just a little part of the whole story Andrei is telling with verifiable facts. So before you start shouting Andrei is a liar, you could at least try to find the facts which he exactly lies about, and watch the whole movie: which movie is forbidden in Russia....

  • ok man, I`ll try to find the whole movie.

But 1 thing about this video:

That cut with the Georgian soldier shooting at Ossetian was shown on Russian TV as is (Andrei names it original). I remember it well. This compilation of the soldier and the rocket launch suspiciously looks like made by Andrei himself, but not Russian media. I`ve never seen those sequences on primary Russian channels.

Anyway it`s only what I`ve seen here, it`s just my point.

  • "suspiciously looks like made by Andrei himself, but not Russian media."

It was made by somebody who was with this Georgian soldier [obviously not a Russian media rep.]. Andrei's point here was not that it was made by a Russian, but USED by Russian media outlets to tell a completely different story than what was actually happening in the images, and manipulating the originals to make it look different, to fit better in the Russian version/story/propaganda of what was happening.

  • how is that? which is nonsense?

Typical Russian attitude, no respect for international laws, in fact no respect to other nations what so ever ( except maybe those with Russian citizenship). I watched the whole movie and I am shocked how much hate Russians really have towards anybody who does not want to go their way. Sad thing is that they don't understand that as a nation and society they can only be prosperous (which they are very far from at the moment), when they will be HONEST with themselves and others around.

  • that's fake

  • русофобская истерика.

    видео пропагандистский фейк!
