In this 5 clip series, I draw upon William Engdahl's work called "A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order" in order to provide real historical examples to illustrate the following concepts: bank mergers and concentrated industries, nationalization of industries, the use of embargoes for political reasons, Bretton Woods and the "3 Pillars", fixed exchange rates, balance of payment deficits and crises, Gross National Product and living standards, the behavior of cartels, and reconstruction of war-torn economies.
To do this, I focus on the period from about 1944 to 1960. I look at three key historical events that occured during this time: Bretton Woods (GATT, IMF, World Bank), Dr. Mossadegh of Iran taking on Anglo-American oil, and Enrico Mattei of Italy taking on the "7 sisters" oil cartel.
I haev seen ur videos..BOP and Exchange rate etc also..
BOP was good..but Exchange rateone didnotcover the mechanism of detrming ER...
i would expect more on it explaining the why and how of exchnage rate mechanism.
