There are many excellent players that are in the HALL OF FAME that never won a championship. Not every player with a championship ring is a LEGEND. Look for yourself.

@billythesquid456 Lets use that logic of talent around a qb. Young played with Jerry Rice for about a decade, Montana only five. Montana won 2 rings with and without Rice. By the time Young became full time starter for the Niners, it was the 91 season. For nine years Young played with nothing but all stars and only won one ring, mind you only after Deion Sanders came along to stop Irving. So if we use your logic Young should of won atleast 3 rings. So its not always who a qb has with him. Peace

Part II Look at it this way. Tarkenton had the records and was a legend. Now, 30+ years later, he's not even in people's top 10. Marino broke his records and was "the best", now he's slowly moving down, and likely soon out of the top 10. But the guys who win championships cluster at the top even decades later. Favre is in between because he won one, with far and away the best team of that particular year. Records will be broken, championships aren't taken away. Favre=regular season legend.

And think about what a "legend" is, or how one is created - key in on a few upside stats and shitcan the negative stuff - like taking three years to develop, almost being benched 2.5 years in, a seizure riven pill addiction, and a chronic INT problem, particularly in the playoffs.
