This starkly beautiful video was filmed at the legendary RCA recording studio in New York City. Director John Jopson wanted to film it in black and white, but the label objected. Luckily Iva Davies stepped in and backed the filmmakers.

I LOVE THIS SONG - ITS AWESOME LOUD!! I always watch for the lady as she makes her getaway thru the barb wire fence @ 3.43, she bangs her head which flicks it back. Then later, @ 3.50, she's seen holding her head, neat live footage. Icehouse are my fav Aussie band. - From a Kiwi - living in the States ;-)

For the last 20 or so years I have credited Simple Minds with this song. Iva Davies has a voice as good as Jim Kerr.

they were big on using the Fairlight computer also for their rhythm & repetitive beat.

Iva was on the Hey hey Re-union the other week & he looks old now but still has a great voice. Great to see an erko lad make it shame he wasn't from redfern though hey :)
