This record and recording is 62 years old.

The Universal Music Group sent a nice message that this record is under copyright still. Appearently in in 1998 The music industry Lobbyied to extend all copyright to 2067 under each states individual law. So any recording made in the last centruy is no longer public domain and any 78 RPM record even though it may be older than a copyright law is now protected. So any record company that posesses these 78 RPM Masters can ask for these videos to come down. Thats is why there is no longer audio.

Also check out "I don't want to set the world on fire" 78 RPM i have.
Civilization recorded with the Andrew Sisters and Danny Kaye. Records in 1948. I decided to include a late 78 Era record to compare how after 40 or so years the 78 Format had reached it zenith. Civilization (Bongo,Bongo,Bongo)
written by Carl sigman - Bob Hillard perforned by the Andrew sisters and Danny Kaye.
DECCA record number L4508 23940-A

I seems that there is a remergence of this song due it being featured in a video roleplaying game called Fall out 3 Thousand of youngsters are out there thinking this song was written for that game. They are suprised to find out that some of the songs were really written two genrations before them. So kiddos enjoy the past sounds of the 40's and 78 RPM records.
Bongo bongo bongo

PS
This is why i think Galaxy News radio has only songs from the 1940's. 78 RPM shellac Records would be the only music Medium to survive a nuclear war. Since Shellac records are an inert material its not susceptible to Data Wiping Electromagnetic waves that Atom bombs put out. That would wipe out all music not made stored in organic materials. That's all music from 1954 to now. I have records that still will play sound after being stored for 104 years. Get an I pod that will play after 104 years. and will proper care not to break one 78 RPM Records should last indefinitely. So all my 78 Rpm records could have very well be part of DJ three dogs playlist so browse around and comment.

  • Why the hell they don't let people listen to this song? They can't make any profit out of it anyway, so WTF?! I so hate copyrights and assholes who piss people off with them just because they can! I'm voting for the Pirate Party on the next election!

  • People think these songs were made for the game? Honestly? Can't be very smart people, then.

  • @Ryomoto dont be so cruel... Gamers dont know old music (because they're young), and it's a good thing that new games make people discover other kinfs of music (especially good music like this)

The other fave is Nexus forum where there are loads of Mods to "improve" the game.

  • @hanchiman Nice! I really like the fallout wiki is one of the best once i have been contributing for! And i have been seen allot of them! Oh! And if your looking for something that might be some fun reading then search or Rotface! In game it just costs you a cap and you'll get some juice Gossip!

When I need to look up on reference of 50's culture I usually look at that wiki to check it out. Learned alot about 50's USA and how they view communism. Also they have a great walkthrough in there too. My other fave area is Nexus, as I prefer to mod my Fallout games.
