Mark, what this mysterious pattern that you don't actually explain ? Cold air over Greenland swinging towards Iceland is not a -NAO signal... PV dropping into Canada and Heights rising over the Iceland area is the signal. A cold trough into central and eastern europe is also a waste without a southerly tracking jet south of the UK and a blockedsetup :)
Explain the actual pattern were seeking and its evolution and your discussion vids will improve !
