Here is the tribute video shown at the Philadelphia Spectrum on Bobby Clarke Night (November 15, 1984). Clarke's #16 was retired on this night prior to the Flyers-Whalers game. The video comes from my 1st-generation Beta tape of the live Prism broadcast.

  • whos the player wearing the C in some of the later highlights????

  • @halfasianDeForrest

That's Mel Bridgman. Clarke gave up the "C" (per NHL rules) for a while to serve as a playing assistant coach. Bill Barber followed Bridgman before Clarkie took it back in 1982.

  • Say what you want about Bobby Clarke but he was one of the most dominating players in NHL history. He is number 5 all time in plus/minus stats with a plus 506. He is a plus .442 per game played average(career wise) which is the third highest average EVER only behind Bobby Orr and Larry Robinson.Having said that,no one comes close to Orr's .908 per game career average.

  • I am Bobby Clarke
