Reta Cook Pleads Mercy! I do not have Dementia!

Reta Cook begs the County to quit pressuring her and trying to control her money and life.

November 2007 - - Doctor visit, Dr. Kang in San Jose, asked her approx 5 questions, deemed her dementia - and needing medicated
November 2007 - - Santa Clara public guardian came to her home, with a police officer
December 2007 - - Santa Clara public guardian came to her new residential care home and said they were closing her case
January 2008 - - Public Guardian came to her bedroom after the sale of the home and told her that if she didn't get an accountant to manager her money they were going to take it into their control.
April 2008 - Santa Clara public guardian said they were going to take her money and control her life unless she got someone to handle her money
April 23, 2008 - - Kim Coleman took possession of my moms Bank of America bank account with no court order - the bank immediately called Reta Cook. Reta called her other bank and told them to transfer her money to her son.
April 29, 2008 - - My brother and I received a letter saying there would be a hearing regarding temporary Public Guardian conservatorship on May 16, 2008.
May 16, 2008 - - Hearing postponed, Kim Coleman and Police Officer tell Reta Cook that the judge ordered a temporary conservatorship, without allowing Reta Cook to come to a hearing
May 28, 2008 - - Reta Cook demands Me, Janet Harvey, to take her away from Santa Clara county so she can have peace from Kim Coleman, she asks for a restraining order to protect herself, I take Reta Cook to a private Nursing facility in Camarillo, CA - Ventura County.
May 28, 2009 - - Reta Cook is evaluated by a psychiatrist on May 28, 2008, found completely competent to make her own decisions, No dementia found and no mental illness at all.
June 3, 2008 - - Court hires an attorney, Rebecca Weisman on my moms behalf, the attorney agrees with the guardians, Reta Cook says she will not talk to her, she hated her from the first conversation.
June 3 - The ombudsman from her home in Camarillo, Lisa Ross, talked to Retas lawyer against her wishes, also Lisa Ross, ombudsman talked to her friend, a lawyer, told him confidential information from a conversation with Reta!
June 3, 2008 Lisa Ross and ombudsman Lawyer Chris Fortunati of Ventura have several conversations with the lawyer that Reta is against and doesn't want.

@northgait Reta is in hiding and has been since the guardian, hospital staff and other government agencies stalked her, stole more than $30000, rerouted 3 of her ssi checks (February, May & June 2009) and all with the blessing of the lawyers, Christopher Fortunati (Ventura) and Rebecca Weisman (San Jose). After all this we went into hiding. We still have the documents from Kim Coleman, Ron Moody and Santa Clara Public Guardian to force Reta into a Locked facility and drugged. We escaped first.

@northgait Reta is well, because of the stress she got cancer - since she was in remission from breast cancer in 1996, but then she was mistreated by the hospital. We have legal documents stating she was out of temp conservatorship as of Dec. 2008 but Kim Coleman and Don Moody took her Feb, May and June 2009 ssi checks leaving her with NO money for bills. She is still to this day angry they revoked her living trust without her permission or knowledge. She takes NO drugs, eats healthy food.

The update is kind of the same. Reta hides from government agencies, social workers, doctors, nurses and anyone that questions her money, finances or life in general. We saw with our own eyes how they tried to hurt her when she had money, they took her savings, her living trust and we have no idea what it was spent on. The lawyers that were suppose to help her, helped hurt her. She filed complaints on her own to the bar association for Rebecca Weisman and Christopher Fortunati, and the judge.

Thanks for the note. Actually Don Moody and Kim Coleman with the help of Rebecca Wiseman arranged to steal 1 of moms social security checks in Feb. 2009, we never got it back. It was so corrupt, the way they did it, we have no idea what happened to the money. Mom was in a assisted living facility and they said they never saw it either. Kim Coleman, Don Moody and Rebecca Wiseman probably shared the money. We never got it and mom is still fighting the theft.

Here is a list of people that robbed, harrassed and misled the court/judge regarding her case and situation. Kim Coleman (Public Guardian), Don Moody (Public Guardian), Rebecca Whisman (Lawyer), Christopher Fortunati (Lawyer), Dawoo Kang, MD (Doctor). Each of these people had a big part in causing my mom, Reta Cook to get cancer, since she was in remission from cancer before they conspired to revoke her living trust, spend her money against her will. All in San Jose, CA - Avoid them at all cost!

Mom got cancer, doctors said it was caused by stress. It has been completely removed. She is feeling better and ready to keep fighting conservatorship or guardianship of any kind. I am afraid to try to become a guardian for her because she is still capible of doing everything she wants and mentally alert and so smart. Physically this battle is hard on her, but mentally she is angry and keeps fighting this violation of her rights!
