"2012: Time for Change" presents an optimistic alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.

  • 2012 is simply the beginning of the 14th b'ak'tun which is part of the Mayan Long Cycle Calendar. There are several other calendars that they used. A b'ak'tun is about 394.3 of our years and the Long Cycle Calendar never loops or ends. It was used to mark monuments. It's our educational system that's failed; not our world view or even our technological ability to handle ecological issues.

  • 2012 is a deception carefully planned by the New World Order.

  • @TheShadowlin Of course.. but the way we live in western culture cannot be changed by snap of fingers. I'm not negative, I'm very optimistic but also realistic. I believe you may be actually trying to change the way you live, but those other lazy milions? I don't think so, don't be naive.

  • people: just watch the film, until you do frankly: you don't know anything. I knew arguments from all sides and have read, studied, watched, etc... for 10 years and I still learned a lot.

TBH you can argue till your face is blue about 2012 as an event or as a time of change. As an event well I mean the US GDP is no as of this year < than our debt's sustaining allows. Will it crash... doesn't matter. What matters is that OBVIOUSLY something is wrong. Just watch, shut up, and learn. Netflix FTW

  • @airgear87 another fail. Watch, learn, stop grunting like a guttural buffoon. No one said you need to live in a dirt hut get over your prejudices.

  • @AndrewTheShort and... FAIL.

There are not too many people on the planet. There are too many people on the planet for the WAY WE LIVE.

Also you're a negative person and you're just a part of the problem with an attitude like that. No better than a Rockefeller. Maybe less so, at least rich people give to charities.

  • Fuck the NWO, fuck the Mayans.. What is 100% obvious, that these things what you saw in the video are not posibble, because there are too many people on this planet. That is the reason for global crysis - too many people... And what is the only conclusion for that - World War

  • I remember when Y2K was suppose to happen and before that in 1996 when the world was suppose to end, because according to everyone Nostradamus said it would. It's a lot of scare tactics by phonies.

  • well lets get 1 thing clear we are not running out of energy sources, food, blah blah. its artificial scarcity and you will see a good exampl of this when the epa starts shutting down coal plants across the us. 2nd this looks to parallel agenda 21. it sounds cute until you are presented with it in real life. and you are starting to see it now war is peace, ignorance is strength and not fully in place yet but freedom is slavery.

  • We are a mess as a species, but the earth is fine. Solutions are forth-coming, many have been with us for a long time. There is plenty of food and space for everyone when millions of years of evolution are respected, but what of science? Is longevity a good idea to create greater solutions within a new generational manifest to solve those that still burden us, strapped to our shorter lifespans? What would Einstein have offered humanity had he lived longer?
