hi lisa! im reminiscing. I miss high school theatre. we were kinda awful and it was great!

Eh....I do like the production value and stuff...and regarding the dedication and the abilities of the students: This is HS....I am a professional actor/singer, and I had the exact same experience in HS when certain students didnt take it seriously or in plain words sucked. If you want to pursue it, go for it!

they weren't all that great with the dancing.

this had the potential to be truly amazing. i think what's more amazing is the dedication of the few actors in this who pushed themselves to more of what they could do. i pushed myself so hard that i started losing my voice (but hey, smoking a pack a day will do that for you, too) and my friends and i would go home angry daily because we were being pushed the hardest to pick up after everyone else.

i don't know who you are, but i do agree. (i'm the lady in blue.)

the harmonies are mostly missing because a few of the cast members would and could not learn their harmonies, nor could they even sing, so a few of us (myself included) had to pick up the slack. believe me, we were incredibly unhappy about it, especially me, because i don't like cutting harmonies. ever. it takes away from the quality of the production.

most of the kids in this had not had a lead-ish role in a musical, ever, so

amazing how? like high school amazing? because it really isn't....they are missing a lot of the harmonies and staging is awkward. it's cute to watch once.
