MARIA FRIEDMAN CELEBRATES THE GREAT BRITISH SONGBOOK is the first completely new solo studio album from the three-time Olivier Award winner in over a decade. It is released on 13 April 2010 by Sepia Records, following a launch at Dress Circle on 10 April, when Maria will be making an appearance to sign CDs. The album is based on a concert series of the same name given at the Shaw Theatre, London, in February 2009. The tracklisting includes The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby, Andrew Lloyd Webber's As If We Never Said Goodbye from Sunset Boulevard, Petula Clark's Downtown, Dido's Lament from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Anthony Newley's What Kind of Fool Am I and Noel Coward's Mad About the Boy.
